We only collect what we need to do the work and run the business. You do not have to give us everything we ask for, but if you leave out something we need, we may not be able to help with the job.

We use your information to quote and carry out work, order the right parts against your engine or boat, contact you about a job, send invoices, and keep a service history so the next job is easier.
We may use your contact details to follow up on an enquiry or let you know about a service that is due. We do not send marketing you did not ask for, and you can tell us to stop at any time.

We do not sell your information. We only share it where we need to for the work, for example with a manufacturer or distributor for a warranty claim or a genuine parts order, or with a trusted specialist in our network when a job calls for it.
We use trusted service providers to run parts of the business, such as our workshop management system, our website host, and our email provider. They only handle your information to provide their service to us, and are required to keep it secure.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety or property.
5.How we store and protect it
Your information is held in our workshop management system and business software, protected by access controls and passwords. Some of these systems store data on secure servers that may be located overseas, which is normal for cloud based software.
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the work, our records, and any legal or tax obligations. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to remove or de-identify it.
6.Your rights
Under the Privacy Act you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Get in touch and we will help, usually at no charge.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
7.Cookies and the website
Our website may use cookies and similar tools to remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. The site works fine without them, though some parts may be less convenient.
